34 WebVR concepts showcased from 13 countries: the Czech Republic, US, UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, Finland, France, Spain, Russia, India, Belgium and the Netherlands.
My project had two goals: (1) develop a free web app that can be used to view over/under stereo panoramas stored locally (currently NVIDIA recommends paying $16 for Virtual Desktop), and (2) figure out a way to share these panoramas on the web. In the past, to view another redditor's Ansel images I had to download each one individually, store them somewhere on my computer, and drag them into Virtual Desktop for viewing. To make sharing easier I've developed a "one-shot" URL viewer for sending a single panorama to a friend (via email) and a Reddit+Imgur approach for community sharing. Users upload their Ansel shots to Imgur, post them to r/overundervr, and "browse" in VR by using one of the viewers I've made.
